Marginpar BV was established in 1988 as one of the first flower import agents in The Netherlands. We were among the pioneers that introduced fresh cut flowers to African soils. In 2018 we merged with our Kenyan and Ethiopian flower farms, making Marginpar both grower and importer of unique, exclusive cut flowers. We are the brand behind Clematis Amazing®, Eryngium Questar®, Astrantia Star® and many more. Marginpar creates millions of beautiful, unique flowers every year.


Everyday 100.000 bouquets are made with our flowers. Flowers are emotion, flowers are life. We party, we mourn, we decorate, we show, we say ‘sorry’ and ‘I love you’.

At Marginpar we believe the flower experience is even more meaningful when you know the story behind the flowers. We talk about nature, product, people. The flowers from Marginpar are grown with passion for you. Pure, authentic, stylish and surprising, from our farms in Africa. By working closely with our partners, we are able to guarantee the high quality of our products. And with the help of many talented floral designers around the world we aim to inspire you as best as we can.

We grow over 120 varieties of flowers at our Marginpar farms in Kenya and Ethiopia and at our partner farms in Tanzania and Zimbabwe. With 17 flower farms on different altitudes and geographical locations, every variety can be grown on the perfect spot, and, growing flowers so close to the equator, we create a year-round supply of most Marginpar flowers.

But it is not all just about flowers. Environmental sustainability is very important for us. We are a proud member or the Floriculture Sustainability Initiative. Together, we want to achieve a sustainable production of 90% for all plants and flowers.

Next to that, our people are number one. Our culture is one of recognition, value and trust. As a result, people are happier, and we see them grow within the company.
